Why we’re here.

At ACAC we have both outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling services. Our very experienced counselors provide quality individualized treatment, focusing on your specific needs. All clients are assessed for their level of care, and an individualized plan is developed for them specifically. As the number of people diagnosed with mental health issues such as depression rises, the need for medical services to treat them is growing too. Approximately 56% of all Americans with a mental illness do not receive treatment. There's also evidence of a dire lack of treatment among teens, with the CDC reporting that the suicide rate for teens is skyrocketing.

Why aren't people getting the help they need? The answer is complicated. On one hand there's the lingering stigma around mental illness that may hinder people from seeking care, but there's also the fact that our health care system has yet to treat mental health as comprehensively as it does physical health. That’s where we come in.

At ACAC we're here to help you find quality information, learn new skills, explore new strategies, and connect with key resources. We help teach you and your loved ones new techniques and help you find information to manage your mental health and substance abuse issues.

We want you to be you.

We at ACAC want you to be the best possible you, you can be. We treat depression and substance abuse in both teens and adults. Our (day treatment program?) for depression may be an appropriate next step for adults not making progress in outpatient therapy. ACAC has expertise in treating individuals with complex diagnoses including treatment-resistant depression, persistent depressive disorder, depression and psychosis, depression and anxiety, or depression and borderline personality disorder.
